The few staff that you saw were very friendly and efficient. The room was very spacious, the rest of the hotel is quite cramped with no outdoor option for relaxation outside of your room. In summary, a good clean hotel for a city break, and would see it more as a very good 3 star hotel.
They allow smoking in the bar which is dissapointing.

The bed was comfortable and the room + bathroom big. Free internet worked perfectly. The personnel was friendly.
It smelled a little stuffy, my room had a temperature of 25,8 degrees since the air conditioning was broken in the whole hotel. I didn't know this in advance. Had to have the windows open and the street was loud. The plug of the bathtub was broken, but was fixed the following day. Cigarette smell came into my bathroom through a ventilation system. Apparently even though I'd requested a non-smoking room, there were smokers in the same floor.

I'd give this a good thumbs up as a nice business-class hotel, with my only hesitation that it was not a e350 a night room. The entire town of Hannover is a ripoff during large trade events. Aside from price/value (which was in line with other hotels that week), I have no complaints, the girls at the front desk were great, the breakfast was plentiful and good, and the room was exceedingly clean, although a little small.

Enjoyed my 2-night stay here. the hotel is situated right by the town center, the opera house, railway station, bus stops, and shopping areas - super easy to get around!

The hotel is located only a 5 minute stroll from the main train station and the s Bahn too. It is also central to the shopping area.

The bartender. The size of the rooms. The room service was inexpensive, and decent. The people at the front desk were very helpful, and spoke excellent english. The Grand Palace is not a "grand palace", but it is perfect just like it is. If that makes sense?
I think the room service could be higher quality, but it's still okay. Maybe update the restaurant menu.
